Our students engage with ideas, people, cultures, and places beyond our campus. With dynamic semester-long international programs such as Wisconsin in Scotland and Experience China offered at a price comparable to our attractive on-campus tuition and housing rates, it's no wonder our students are twice as likely to study abroad than their national peers.
Global education at UW-River Falls isn't limited to study abroad experiences. As a member of the prestigious American Council on Education International Laboratory, we strive to ensure all of our students graduate with an informed global perspective.
By participating in heart failure research using zebrafish, engineering human tissues on three dimensional scaffolds, or exploring the furthest reaches of space by examining neutrinos in the Antarctic ice, our students don't just study scientific breakthroughs, they make them. This commitment to active student learning through undergraduate research, scholarly, and creative activity extends to all fields of study at UW-River Falls.
Programs such as Falcon Scholars, McNair Scholars, and Summer Scholars provide students with the resources and support they need to become thought leaders in their fields. Our students then in turn present their findings in high-profile venues such as the National Conference on Undergraduate Research
and Posters in the Rotunda
.
