Dangerous Weapons on Campus |
Dangerous weapons as defined by Wisconsin Statute 939.22(10) or any object that resembles a dangerous weapon are strictly prohibited on University lands or in University buildings or facilities, except with the written approval of the chief administrative officer or designate or for peace officers performing law enforcement duties.
The UW-River Falls Chancellor issues this policy in accordance with the Administrative Policy process.
The VCAF is responsible for the administration of this policy. Request an exception to this policy by writing to administrative-policy@uwrf.edu

Failure to adhere to the provisions of this policy may result in appropriate disciplinary action as provided under existing procedures applicable to students, faculty, and staff, and/or civil or criminal prosecution.
Information concerning this policy shall be publicized annually. The citation process will be used to enforce the policy.
Storage of weapons and ammunition normally associated with sporting purposes shall be located off-campus for students living in residence halls. University Police Department shall be responsible for administering the policy.
Department/Unit ResponsibilitiesThe Physical Education Department shall store and administer bows and arrows for instructional use.
