Career Fair Coordinator Intern

The Career Fair Coordinator is hired annually to plan this campus-wide event held each October.  The Coordinator manages all aspects of the Career Fair and serves as the lead contact for all employers. In addition to overseeing event details, the Coordinator develops the Career Fair theme and design, as well as all the marketing initiatives. The experience gained from having this internship has translated into numerous networking opportunities and successful job searches for past interns.

Career Marketing Intern

Use your creative mind as the Marketing Intern to oversee the development of all event-marketing initiatives for Career Services. This position requires an innovative individual capable of designing effective promotional materials to enhance event attendance. Interns will benefit by expanding their marketing knowledge, enhancing their design layout capabilities, and establishing a strong business communication foundation.

Career Peer Advisors

Career Services is looking for fun, enthusiastic, involved students with great interpersonal skills who are dedicated to helping others. As a Career Peer Advisor, you will have the opportunity to help students and alumni develop resume and cover letter writing skills, portfolio development, effective job search strategies, interviewing skills, and occupational research strategies. You will also build your presentation skills and utilize your creativity as you facilitate career-related workshops, participate in and organize outreach activities, and complete special projects. There is no prior experience necessary with Career Services, training will be provided.

Health Marketing Interns

Student Health Services is seeking to hire UWRF students to serve as Program and Promotion Assistants during the 2010-2011 academic year. One will serve as the Health Fair Coordinator. Additional duties include program development and implementation, publicity and marketing.

Alcohol Prevention Coordinator

We are looking for a student who has an interest area in alcohol prevention along with a creative mind for marketing this topic. The intern will be responsible for implementing a alcohol prevention strategy for our campus. The student intern will benefit by expanding their marketing knowledge, enhancing their design layout capabilities, and learning about alcohol prevention strategies for college age students.

Tobacco Prevention Coordinator

We are looking for a student who will assist with mobilizing students around tobacco prevention initiatives, marketing tobacco prevention messages to campus, and implementing a tobacco prevention strategy for our campus. The student intern will benefit by expanding their marketing knowledge, enhancing their design layout capabilities, and learning about tobacco prevention strategies for college age students.

Health Fair Coordinator

We are looking for an organized student who will organize the annual Health Fair held on campus in the spring of the year. The student will be responsible for planning the Health Fair, outreaching to student organizations and area businesses, collecting donations, and running the fair on the day of the event. This is a great opportunity for those looking to go into event planning.

General Health Intern

We are looking for a creative student for the marketing and promoting of Student Health Services and other health related efforts and events. This student will maintain and update the Student Health Services Web Page, create and distribute health related information and messages to the campus on a variety of topics. The intern will benefit by expanding their marketing knowledge, enhancing their design layout capabilities, and learning about health related topics.

 

Career, Counseling & Student Health Offices

Information Specialists

Information Specialists provide front desk assistance for Career, Counseling and Student Health offices that include answering and directing telephone calls, scheduling appointments, providing support services (making copies, light filing work, processing, assembling mailers, typing, research, etc.), scoring of assessments, assisting clients with locating appropriate materials and resources in the office, organizing and cleaning, and collaborating on marketing projects.
