Mission & Purpose

Career Services is a student-focused office that provides comprehensive career planning services to University of Wisconsin-River Falls students and alumni.  By providing expertise, resources, and support, we empower individuals to make and implement well-conceived career plans.

Vision

Recognizing that career development is a life-long process, Career Services strives to help students master the art of self-assessment, occupational exploration, decision-making, goal-setting, self-marketing, job search skills, and developing meaningful connections in the workplace. We offer a supportive, instructional link between students, faculty, prospective employers, and the global community.  Career Services fosters a welcoming, accessible environment where diversity is celebrated, and the uniqueness of each individual is valued.

Learning Outcomes

Students and alumni will be able to:

• Identify their interests, skills and personality type to target appropriate majors, careers and employers
• Professionally market their education, skills and experience to achieve lifelong career success
• Demonstrate professionalism at campus and community events
• Articulate the value of their liberal arts education to employers and others
• Organize and conduct an internship, job or graduate school search
