The ethnic studies minor is designed to allow students to study and focus their attention on the experiences, histories, and unique contributions of a variety of ethnic groups within the United States. Our courses allow students to develop critical thinking skills, learn more about ethnic groups in the United States, and become more comfortable discussing issues of race and ethnicity and working across racial and ethnic lines. The courses included in the minor have been selected to focus the student's study as well as to allow for individual flexibility. It is possible for Arts and Sciences majors to double minor in ethnic studies and women's studies with minimal additional credits.
