Mobile Web

  • Mobile device screenm.uwrf.edu is the mobile Web site for UW-River Falls.
  • The mobile site favors content that is likely to be of interest to people on mobile devices.
  • The content is displayed to conform to smaller device screen widths.
  • The Web team has created pages with abbreviated content. These pages have links to standard UWRF Web pages where applicable. 
  • The master template for standard UWRF pages has been modified to deliver content that attempts to better fit mobile devices. This is called responsive Web design. (Explanation)
  • Visitors have a choice to view almost any UWRF Web page in a mobile format we call "flex view," or they may view a page in the standard "full view" regardless of device size.
  • The Web team will be providing tips to campus Web site authors about how to better optimize UWRF Web content with all screen views in mind. More to come...
