Artist Statement:

Brett Kallusky is a photographic artist examining mans’ relationship with the landscape. Socio-economic, environmental, and consumer impact issues in the American west/southwest are the focus of recent studies.

He works with a broad range of lens-based equipment from the 8 x 10 view camera utilizing sheet film through DSLR’s to the iPhone X. The scale of prints produced by the artist in his studio, be they gelatin silver or archival pigment prints are crafted with perception of the viewer in mind, from contact prints to 40 x 50 inches.
