Hathorn Hall Banner

Hathorn Hall (pronounced HATH-orn) is our campus' oldest and largest Residence Hall, housing over 400 students. The four-story, coed residence hall, is conveniently located in the heart of campus.

Hathorn has a great mix of both first year and returning students. There are 6 first- year communities in the Hall. Hathorn is also home to the Connections Learning Community. First-Year Students who live here are enrolled in general elective courses with the students on their floor. Some distinguishing features include being one of the two halls with an elevator, having its own sand volleyball court located on the south side of the building and having a parking lot (N lot) right behind the building. It is also the closest hall to both the intramural fields and amphitheater.

Hathorn is staffed by 10 Resident Assistants, 1 Hall Manager and 1 Assistant Hall Manager. Students at University Center

Hathorn Hall, built in 1950, was named after academic Dean Irma Hathorn, who served UWRF from 1920-1950. It was the first building to be named after a woman.
