Stratton Hall is an inclusive open-door community which is committed to academic excellence. Together we promote and embrace diversity in our community as globally minded citizens. We strive to be the change in our respective areas of interest by raising standards and respecting one another in a fun and safe environment. Stratton Hall will house two floors of the Substance Free themed housing for the 2012-13 year.
Stratton Hall is a three-story coed residence hall, housing 200 residents, located in the West Area of campus near the Karges Center, Agricultural Science/Food Science Building, Hagestad Hall, sand volleyball courts, and a grilling station. It is popular with upper class students and offers a scatter coed experience, where men and women reside in the same communities.
There are separate bathroom and shower facilities for men and women located on each floor. Stratton also provides a full kitchen on both 3rd floor and the basement. The building provides six Resident Assistants and one Hall Manager.
Stratton’s special features include study lounges, table tennis, pool and foosball tables. The Stratton front desk provides games and movies, as well as cooking utensils and sports equipment. A BluRay room is also available for resident use.
Stratton Hall, built in 1958, was named after academic Dean Charles G. Stratton, who served UWRF from 1915-1950.
