What happens when a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday?
If a holiday falls on a Saturday, then you will receive legal holiday time to use at another time (floating holiday), much like vacation. It will show up on your earning statement under LH as part of the balance. These hours must be used by December 31st of the current year or they will be lost.
If a holiday lands on a Sunday, then it will be observed on the following Monday. The University would be closed on that Monday.
