The University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF), a member of the University of Wisconsin System, is located on the eastern edge of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area in scenic west central Wisconsin. Applications are currently being accepted for permanent Custodian positions that may be available within the next three months at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Positions may be located in Custodial Services, Residence Life, or Student Affairs.
SALARY: Starting pay is $11.284 per hour, plus excellent benefits. A six-month probationary period will be required. Shift schedule varies with position; weekend hours and possible holiday hours may be required. This classification is non-represented and is in pay schedule/range 03-08.
JOB DUTIES: Sweep, mop, wax floors, wash windows and walls, dust, move furniture and equipment, shampoo carpets, replace fluorescent tubes and incandescent bulbs, shovel snow, empty waste receptacles, replenish supplies and perform miscellaneous related housekeeping duties.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Able to bend, twist, stoop, and climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds. In addition, must be able to recognize safety concerns and adhere to safety procedures; able to use various custodial equipment and cleaning and miscellaneous chemicals; read labels and follow instructions; exercise good judgment at all times, and communicate effectively with co-workers and students.
