Librarian liaisons support teaching and learning at UWRF through personal interaction with faculty, staff, and students in assigned academic departments.  The librarian liaison program complements, but does not replace, our faculty library liaison program in which a faculty member from each department is designated as his or her department’s liaison for collection development purposes.  It also complements the full range of services that we offer at our public service desks in the library.

Through their outreach work, librarian liaisons determine how the library can most effectively support the work of our faculty, staff, and students.   They keep their constituencies up-to-date in regard to new resources and services, provide one-on-one consultation to faculty and staff in their assigned departments, offer to meet periodically with their departments, and facilitate library instructional sessions tailored to the specific needs of their departments.
