Dr. Kristin Tjornehoj, professor of music at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls is the conductor of the St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra is comprised of UWRF students and greater St. Croix Valley community members. Rehearsing on Monday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., the ensemble explores a wide variety of repertoire. Designed to meet the needs of the membership by providing a quality performance venue, the group also excels at outreach for the St. Croix Valley. The annual Young Persons Concert which is growing in popularity will be performed for area elementary students in March.

FALL FESTIVAL CELEBRATION!
The St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra will feature Tony Capparelli, River
Falls High School Senior, in the Mendelssohn Piano Concert No. 1 in G
minor. Other selections include Carmen Suite No. 1 by Georges Bizet,
Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral by Richard Wagner, Fiddle-Faddle by
Leroy Anderson and Johann Strauss, Jr.'s Vienna Blood Waltz. Other
soloists include Brittany Kamrath, voice; Kevin Bruggenthies, piano and
Angie Nehring, piano. Dr. Kristin Tjornehoj is the director of the 65-member orchestra. The
ensemble is comprised of students and adult community members.
Admission to the Oct. 22 concert is $5 for Adults, $3 for Seniors and $2 for

Holiday Extravaganza!
The St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra will present sounds of the season with poetry, narration and visuals. Musical selections include Sleigh Ride, O Holy Night, Holiday Hoedown and more!
Concert Admission: Adults $5, Seniors $3, Students $2

We invite you to participate in a UWRF sponsored opportunity for adults and students in collaborative music making in the area of music through the St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra.
