Infinity and Beyond 

Infinity and Beyond is a living and learning community for first year students who plan on pursuing majors in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. The community helps connect students with academic, cultural, and social resources, while providing opportunities to interact with some of the best faculty at UWRF.  Students will enroll in a common set of General Education courses while taking introductory science courses in their area of study - offering additional opportunities for academic support and exploration of STEM-related fields.

Program Considerations:
The following majors are encouraged to participate in the Infinity and Beyond Learning Community:

  • Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Pre-Professional students (including Pre-Chiropractic, Pre-Dental, Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Optometry, Pre-Pharmacy, and Pre-Vet/Biology)

The following General Education courses are required of participants in the Infinity and Beyond Learning Community:

Fall Semester (6 credits)

  • COMS 101 (Fundamentals of Oral Communication)
  • MATH 147 (College Algebra & Trig) or MATH 149 (Precalculus)

Spring Semester (3 credits)

  • ENGL 100 (Academic Reading and Writing)
