Compass Awards ask first-year students to reflect on their accomplishments during their first year and to identify one person who has made a difference in their success at UWRF. This may include an academic advisor, faculty, or staff member. 

Student Nominations
Perhaps you’ve had an instructor who took extra time to help you do well in a course.  Or, perhaps you worked with a counselor who helped you work through your homesickness.  Maybe you had an academic advisor who went out of his or her way to help you navigate through a registration process.  You're encouraged to use the Compass Award program as a way to thank one individual who took the extra time and energy to assist you as a first-year student. 

The Compass Award is given to all individuals who demonstrate the values of UWRF and our commitment to helping students learn.  Recipients take it upon themselves to guide new students through their first year with genuine commitment and endless support. Compass Award recipients stand out. They motivate others to perform at their best and lead first-year students toward ultimate success.
