Greetings Family Day 2012 Attendees!
Family Day is only a few days away and we are very excited to welcome more than 1,700 students and their families to campus! If we haven’t told you yet, there are many fun activities and entertaining events planned for the day!
Check – In
Where: University Center
When: Saturday, September 22 from 7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Materials your family will receive at check-in:
Payment will be accepted during check-in. We are able to accept cash, check, and credit card (VISA, Master Card, and Discover). Unfortunately, American Express is not accepted. The registration fee is $12 for ages 6 and older and includes breakfast, lunch or dinner, athletic events, activities, and a Family Day shirt. UWRF students and children ages 5 and under are free.
Traveling to Campus and Parking
Cascade Avenue (the street adjacent to campus) is under construction. Please plan ahead and drive carefully. Construction updates and the latest travel information are available online at: http://www.uwrf.edu/CascadeProject/.
Campus Lots E, K, L, N, O and W may be used for Family Day parking from 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 21 until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 23. Families may park in these lots overnight. Meters do NOT need to be paid after 4:30 p.m. on Friday through Sunday. However, Parking is prohibited in metered spaces from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. ANYTIME. Please note that you will NOT be able to cross Cascade Avenue on 6th Street this weekend, as indicated on the map.

There are two activities taking place on Friday night for those that plan to arrive early.
As a way to support our troops, please join our campus in participating in a Veteran's Day Care Package Drive. All items will be collected, packaged, and sent overseas by the UWRF Veteran's Club. Our troops overseas have requested the following items. Please drop your items off to the Veterans Club during the Campus Block Party from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on the UC Mall.
Be sure to keep an eye out for our Family Day volunteers. They’ll be wearing white “VOLUNTEER” buttons and can answer any questions that you may have. And of course, don’t forget your camera so you can capture all of your Family Day memories!
