Matching Gifts
A Great Way to Increase Your Giving is through a Corporate Matching Gift Program. If you or your spouse work for or are a retiree of a matching gift company, you can sometimes double or even triple your gift. Please remember to request a matching gift application from your company's human resources office, fill it out and send it to the UW-River Falls Foundation. You may use the following link to determine if your company has a matching gift policy.
Designating Gift Usage
Your contribution may be designated to The Fund for UW-River Falls, which provides assistance for the University's highest priorities and enhance student life experiences. Your contribution may also be designated to the college, department or program of your choice and used in the classroom, the laboratory, or on the playing field. Please indicate your designation when you make your contribution.

The UWRF Foundation Office will be open normal business hours of 8:00a.m to 4:30p.m. on December 26, 27, 28, and 31. The Foundation Office will be closed on December 24, 25, and January 1.
Reminder: For a 2012 charitable deduction your gift must be received or postmarked by December 31, 2012.

Make Your Gift Via the Phone: We will gladly accept your credit card gift by phone until 4:30 p.m. CST on December 31, 2012. Please call (715) 425-3505 or toll-free (877) 258-6647. Staff will be available to receive your call during normal business hours up until 4:30p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012. The Foundation Office will be closed on December 24, 25, and January 1.
Make Your Gift Via a Check: Checks should be made payable to the UWRF Foundation. Your gift must be received in our office on or before December 31, 2012. Please send your check to:

Drop Your Gift Off in the UWRF Foundation Office: Our office is located on the UW-River Falls campus in 310 South Hall. Staff will be available in the Foundation Office up until 4:30p.m. on Monday, December 31st; you will need to enter the building through the South entrance of South Hall. The Foundation Office will be closed December 24, 25, and January 1.
Make Your Gift of Stock or Securities: Due to the high volumes of transfer requests made during the holiday season and calendar year-end, please plan to communicate your gift request to your broker by December 10th to allow enough time for year end processing. For tax purposes, the gift date is the date that the recipient organization receives the securities, not the date that the donor makes the initial request. When making your gift, please complete and fax or mail the following form to our office so that we may anticipate your gift. The fax number is (715) 425-3506.

We understand that the date of a gift becomes a concern for individuals at calendar year end. Please note that the date on your receipt reflects when the foundation processed your gift, and does not imply the date your gift was made. While you should consult with your CPA or tax advisor to determine the tax consequences of your donation, the date you delivered or mailed your donation is generally recognized as the gift date. The determination of the contribution date is entirely your decision. Please contact our office if you have any questions.
