  Interns indicate duties performed : Assisted in planning social activities for the residents. Experimentation with new activities and determine if residents enjoyed them. Interacting with residents that have been diagnosed with dementia to learn their socialization process.
  Students identified positive aspects of this placement: The residents were the most positive aspect of interning at the Lutheran Home.
  Students identified difficulties typical in this placement: For some people, patience might be an issue, but for me, there were none.

  • The people I worked with were fantastic as far as helping me meet goals and informing me of my responsibilities. The residents are great to work with if you enjoy working with the elderly.
