Interns indicate duties performed: Interviewing clients, assisting with paperwork, learning about the Federal and State benefits available to veterans.  Interviewing to have a better understanding of Veteran populations.  Assisting the county CVSO officers in entering verterans into the system.
Students identified positive aspects of this placement: I believe this will be an amazing experience since I am a veteran and will not only benefit scholastically, but will benefit me in my own healing process.
Students identified difficulties typical in this placement: I may encounter issues with veterans not fully cooperating with the interview process, since hostility and anger are common among veterans.  I will also run into issues where I will not be able to help veterans through no fault of mine or theirs.  I will also have to deal with the lower socioeconomic classes and the difficulties involved with that.
