International Scholarships
The College of Education and Professional Studies announces the availability of international scholarships to support students who will be participating in UWRF-sponsored international study aboard programs. Each scholarship is for $500 and is meant to defray the cost of the study abroad program. These scholarships are made possible because of generous gifts from alumni and friends of the College of Education and Professional Studies.
Eligibility
- Must be a major in the College of Education and Professional Studies.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (undergrad) and 3.5 (graduate) is required.
- Awards will generally be one time per student but exceptions may be made.
- Participation in a UWRF sponsored study abroad program.
- Scholarship maximum is $500.
- Priority deadlines are October 1st and March 1st, but the COEPS Executive Council may consider applications after the deadline at its discretion.
- Preference will be given to students demonstrating financial need.
Award Process
Once recipients are selected by the COEPS Executive Council, the UWRF Foundation Office contacts the Office of Financial Aid who codes the award on the student record in eSIS. If there is no outstanding balance on the student account, the Cashier Office will issue a change check to the student. If the student has an outstanding balance, the award reduces the balance on the account.
