This
will be your first visit to campus as an "official"
UW-River Falls student. During the new student registration program,
you'll meet with academic advisors, select courses, register for classes,
meet other new students, and learn about University services. You'll
have questions; we'll have the answers. We can't wait to meet you
and introduce you to our campus!

Placement Testing - August 27
All new students are required to take the Wisconsin Regional Placement Tests before registering for classes if college transfer credit has not been earned in Math or English. These tests are offered regionally throughout the spring and each evening prior to new student registration. If you have already taken the tests, we will have your scores ready for you and your advisor to review on your registration day.
If you have NOT taken the Math and English placement tests and have not yet earned college credits in Math or English, you will need to take them before you register for classes. You should plan to arrive on campus by 3:45 pm the day before your assigned registration date. If you have previous high school experience in a foreign language and would like to continue studying that language at UWRF, you will also need to take a modern language placement test. Testing is available in the University Center the afternoon of August 27 at the following times:
Modern Language testing begins at 3:00 pm in the University Center.
Math placement testing begins at 4:15 pm in the University Center (students may use a non-graphing calculator on the math test).
English placement test begins at 6:00 pm in the University Center.
Families:
You are so important in this process that we have a family program designed just for you! Our staff will help you understand University policies and transition issues that your student may experience. We will offer suggestions about how to be a partner in their college experience and provide answers to all your questions.
