Pure Radio 88.7 WRFW-FM is a free-form, public radio station providing music, news, weather and sports programming to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls campus and the greater St. Croix Valley. This includes parts of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro Area, which is the 16th-ranked U.S. radio market. WRFW also extends its listening area world wide via the internet.

The station has been broadcasting since 1968. Located in North Hall 306, WRFW-FM is completely student operated, with UWRF students filling every position from Director to DJ, broadcasting its student produced programming from 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily. The remainder of the broadcast day airs Wisconsin Public Radio's Idea's Network and BBC World News.

Pure Radio 88.7 WRFW-FM is a non-commercial, public radio station that is funded by underwriting, trade-outs and segregated fees from UWRF Student Senate, the Department of Journalism, and the College of Arts and Sciences.
