Falcon Lindsy Carlson (Sr., Two Harbors, Minn.) has been named the 2004 NCHA Women's Player of the Year. Carlson, who played mostly defense for the Falcons but also some at forward, won the award in 2001 when she was a freshman at UWRF. Carlson led the NCHA in scoring in 2004 with 25 points. She scored seven goals and a league-leading 18 assists. She scored two power-play and two short-handed goals. Carlson was also named to the All-NCHA first team for the fourth straight season in 2004. She has been named to the AHCA All-America team in 2002 and 2003. Carlson led the Falcons in scoring with 11 goals and 25 assists for 36 points. She led the team with 25 assists. She scored three game-winning and three power-play goals. Carlson is the Falcon all-time leading scorer with 32 goals and 54 assists
for 86 points. She scored 12 power-play, four game-winning goals and one
hat trick in her career. She also led the Falcons in scoring as a freshman
in 2001 with 13 goals and 19 assists for 32 points. She played in 83 career
games and averaged 1.03 points a game. |
