Forward Jenna Scanlon (So., Apple Valley, Minn.) played an amazing couple of games on Friday and Saturday as the Falcons tied Lake Forest, 2-2, and beat the Foresters, 4-3. On Friday Scanlon scored her ninth goal for the season at 7:25 of the third period to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead at the time. In Saturday's game she scored a hat trick and helping her team to the win.   She scored at 16:59 of the first period to tie the game, 1-1. She scored again at 13:22 of the second period to tie the game, 2-2. Her third goal came at 13:52 of the third and gave the Falcons a 3-2 lead.   Her first goal came with the Falcons on the power play. "She didn't just score well, but she really fought hard and won every battle," said Falcon Coach Joe Cranston. Scanlon leads the team with 12 goals and she is tied for second in points with 15.

Forward Lindsay O'Keefe (Sr., Roseville, Minn.) played an outstanding game in helping the Falcons defeat UW-Eau Claire 5-1. "She had two nice assists and played really well," said Falcon Coach Joe Cranston. O'Keefe got the only assist on what proved to be the game winning goal at 10:44 of the first period. Her next assist came on a Falcon power-play goal at 17:21. She leads the Falcons in points (16) and assists (9).

Defender Jenny Wallace (Jr., Buffalo, Minn.) had two solid games for the Falcons as UWRF split two home NCHA games last weekend. The Falcons lost a close 2-1 decision to UW-Superior on Saturday, but rebounded for a 6-4 win over Finlandia on Sunday. Wallace scored twice to lead the Falcons in the win over Finlandia. She scored the team's third goal at 18:35 of the first period to give the Falcons a then 3-01lead. She scored what proved to be the game winning goal at 9:12 of the third period to give the Falcons a 5-4 lead. "She moved the puck well and had two great days of play," said Falcon Coach Joe Cranston. She has three goals and 10 points this season.

Forward Jenna Scanlon (So., Apple Valley, Minn.) played huge in the Falcons win at Lake Forest on Saturday afternoon. Scanlon scored her eighth goal of the season 5:39 into the third period to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead and that proved to be the final score. Scanlon's physical play gives the Falcons an edge. "She plays just a really tough game and plays physical all the time. Her physical play allows her to win a lot of battles against the boards," said Falcon Coach Joe Cranston.

Forward Leah Baron (Sr., Hermantown, Minn.) recorded two goals in this past weekend's games to help the Falcons collect two wins. Baron's first goal was a game winner at St. Mary's on Friday, 5:40 into the third period. The Falcons won the game 5-2. Baron's second goal came against Neumann on Sunday afternoon when she knocked one in at 14:20 mark in the first period. The Falcons went on to win that game, 3-1. "Leah shows great leadership on the ice and we can depend on her when we need a big play," said Falcon Coach Joe Cranston. Baron has four goals and seven points for the 9-3-1 Falcons.

Forward Kelly Hurley ( Jr., Lakeville, Minn., Lakeville HS) helped the Falcons to a split in a NCHA weekend series against Stevens Point at Hunt Arena. The Falcons dropped a 3-1 decision on Friday, but came back for a 2-1 win on Saturday. "She played her best two games this weekend and really worked hard," said Falcon Coach Joe Cranston. On Friday she second her team's only goal at 16:58 of the third period. Hurley didn't get a point in Saturday's win, but played hard throughout the close contest. She is third on the team in scoring with five goals and six points.

Forward Kelly Jensen (So., Eden Prairie, Minn. Eden Prairie HS) had a solid game and helped the Falcons to an 8-1 win over St. Catherine last week. “She is working hard and has been all year. She has a great attitude and has been playing well every game,” said Falcon Coach Joe Cranston. Jensen contributed two goals and two assists in the win at Hunt Arena. Her first goal of the game, and second of the season, came in the second period at 16:41. That proved to be the game-winning goal. Her next goal came at 17:06 of the third period. She recorded her second assist of the season at 4:55 of the third period and her next assist came at 15:52 of the final period. She now has three goals and six points this year.

Forward Lou Paulson (Sr., Duluth, Minn. Proctor-Hermantown HS) helped the Falcons to a two-game sweep of UW-Eau Claire in NCHA play last weekend. The Falcons won on Friday, 2-1, and 5-3, on Saturday in Eau Claire.   "She works harder than anyone and was there for a lot of our scoring," said Falcon Coach Joe Cranston.   Paulson scored the team's first goal on Friday, unassisted, at 4:03 of the first period. She also assisted on what proved to be the game-winning goal at 6:17 of the third period. In their 5-3 victory over the Blugolds, on Saturday Paulson contributed an assist at 8:54 of the first period and a power play goal at 5:07 of the second period. She leads the team with six points (3-3).

Forward Lou Paulson (Sr., Duluth, Minn. Proctor-Hermantown HS) was one of the team's top players in two games last week. The Falcons lost at St. Thomas on Friday, 5-2, and tied at Bethel, 2-2, in overtime on Saturday. "She worked hard," said Coach Joe Cranston. At Bethel, she scored the team's second goal of the game. The power-play goal came at 12:09 of the second period and gave the Falcons a 2-0 lead at the time. At St. Thomas Paulson, 5-4, had an assist on the team's second goal of the game that was scored early in the third period. She has one goal and two points this season.

Goalie Amber Lindner (Jr., Moorhead, Minn.) played two strong games as the Falcons opened their season with two wins. In the season opener against Gustavus Adolphus she kept the team in the game by blocking 45 out of 46 shots and helping the Falcons defeat the second ranked team in the U.S. College Hockey Online Div. III poll, 3-1.   "That's just how good she is," said Falcon Coach Joe Cranston, "every game she give us a chance to win."   On Saturday she stopped 11 of 12 shots to help the team to a 2-1 win over Augsburg. She has a 2-0-0 record with a 1.00 goals against average and a .966 saves percentage.
