Swim Team Award Winners Announced

Award winners have been announced for the Falcon men's and women's swimming & diving teams for the 2008-09 season.

For the women Katie Zappa (Sr., Hudson, Wis.) was named the team's Most Valuable Performer. Rebecca Machones (Fr., Duluth, Minn. East HS) was named the Most Improved and Most Inspirational. Tamra Knight (So., Shoreview, Minn. Mounds View HS) earned the team's Hardest Worker award.

Alyssa Adair (Jr., Maplewood, Minn. Hill-Murray HS) was chosen as the 2009-10 season camptain with Knight selected as co-captain.

For the men, Mike Brudzinski (Sr., Oakdale, Minn. Tartan HS) was named the team's Most Valuable Performer. Ty Campbell (Jr., Eau Claire, Wis. North HS) earned the Most Inspirational award and Josh Anderson (So., Little Canada, Minn. Roseville HS) was named Most Improved. Travis Dunnell (Fr., Lakeville, Minn. North HS) earned the team's Hardest Worker award.

Campbell was named the team's 2009-10 captain with Dan Blasberg (So., Eagan, Minn.) selected as co-captain.

Recognition is also given to Danielle Mandich (Sr., Bloomington, Minn.), Zappa and Emily Stein (So., Taylors Falls, Minn. Chisago Lakes HS) for being on the team record setting 400 and 800 freestyle relay teams; Tori Jambritz (Fr., Hartland, Wis. Arrowhead HS) for being on the 800 free relay record setting team and Jill Lambach (Jr., South St. Paul, Minn.) for being on the 400 free relay record setting team.
