UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN River Falls

Admissions

Why did you choose to attend UW-River Falls?
I transferred to UWRF from a private Catholic college in Minnesota. UW-River Falls turned out to be the perfect school! It was affordable, yet had a lot to offer in the field of marketing communications. The location and atmosphere was also exactly what I needed. It is a small campus that caters to the needs of students with professors who can give personal attention, yet close to a metropolitan area for career opportunities.

What was your most memorable UWRF experience?
I worked at the campus radio station and TV station – both fabulous experiences.

What was your favorite course at UWRF? Why?
Photography and all marketing communications courses.

How did your degree in marketing communications prepare you for your current profession?
UWRF helped me land an internship at 3M. After the internship, I was well equipped to land other jobs within marketing communications including my role today at General Mills.

What advice do you have for prospective students who are considering UWRF?
UW-River Falls has a lot to offer and is very diverse. Having the background and history of attending private Catholic colleges, both in my undergrad and masters, I can honestly say UW-River Falls provides a quality education and enriching experience at a fraction of the cost. UW-River Falls shines as the best place I received my education!
