The Department of Animal and Food Science offers two emphases for Dairy Science majors. Required core courses within the Dairy Science major are identical, regardless of emphasis. Additional requirements are based on the choice of emphasis. The Dairy Science-Management emphasis is designed for students seeking careers in dairy farm management or supporting industries such as feed, pharmaceutical, or genetics sectors of the dairy industry. The Dairy Science-Science emphasis is designed for students that plan to enroll in graduate or professional degree programs following completion of the Bachelor of Science degree.
