Textbook Services

Textbook Services Temporarily Relocated

Textbook Services is temporarily located at the Chalmer Davee Library Circulation Desk by the main library entrance. We are currently having new lighting and carpet installed. We anticipate being back in room 241 by the end of June.

Summer Textbooks

Summer term textbooks can be checked out starting May 4th as long as all Spring textbooks are returned and any Textbook Services fines are paid. You MUST have a valid picture ID (school ID, driver's license, passport) to check out books in person. You must pick up your own books. You can find your required book list at go.uwrf.edu/MyBooks.

If you are unable to to come to campus to check out your textbooks in person, you can request them to be mailed here: Request Textbooks to Be Mailed. There is a $15 mailing fee that will be charged to your eSIS account.

If you have any questions concerning summer textbooks, please email us at textbookservices@uwrf.edu.

Spring Textbook Returns

Spring term textbooks were due May 10th. Books still checked out should be returned as soon as possible to Textbook Services. We are open Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4 pm. We also have an outside drop box that is open when we are closed (located by southeast entrance of library.) Textbooks can be returned by mail (or UPS/FedEx) to: UW-River Falls Textbook Services, 410 S. 3rd St., River Falls, WI 54022.

There is a late fine of $1 per day per book, with a maximum fine of $10 per book. After 28 days overdue books are considered long overdue, set to a status of "LOST", and the fine doubles.

Textbook Services Due Dates & Late Fines

Textbook due dates are typically the day after the last day of finals. For Summer and Winter terms the due date is the first day of classes of the following term (e.g., Fall term for Summer books.) If a student requires the book past the due date (e.g., took an incomplete, need to finish a paper), their instructor or advisor must email Textbook Services to request this.

  • Students will receive an email from circulation@uwrf.edu after textbooks are checked out, when textbooks are checked in, when they are due, after they are overdue, and monthly email reminders on the 2nd of every month.
  • Late fines are $1/day per book to a maximum of $10 per book.
  • At 28 days overdue, books will be set to LOST and an additional $10 long overdue fine will be applied.
  • After 60 days overdue, student account may be sent to Student Billing for collection.
  • Lost or severely damaged books will have to be paid for at replacement value in Alma.
