Five UW-River Falls Men's Basketball Players Named To All-WIAC Team

March 2, 2016 -- Five members of the UW-River Falls men's basketball team were selected to the 2016 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Men's Basketball Team.

Senior forward Jon Christensen and junior forward Garret Pearson were both named All-WIAC first team. Junior guard Grant Erickson was named Honorable mention and senior forward Jack Herum was named to the All-Defensive Team. Senior center Connor Goodwin was the Falcon's representative on the All-Sportsmanship team.

Christensen led the Falcons in scoring with 501 points on the season, averaging 17.9 points per game. He hit a team high 66, 3 pointers on the season, and also led the Falcons in Free Throws made with 79. Christensen led the Falcons in rebounds as well with 237 on the season, averaging 8.5 per game.

Pearson was second on the Falcons in scoring averaging 14.5 per game. Pearson is tied for second on the team in total rebounds with 143, averaging 5.5 per game. 

Erickson led the Falcons in assists with 62 on the season, averaging 3.3 per game. Erickson is tied for third on the team in steals with 17 on the season.

Herum led the Falcons in offensive rebounds with 51 on the season. Herum was second on the team in steals, with 22 and assists with 54.
