UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN River Falls
July 10, 2105 – Twin Cities Pop Rock sensation, Hippo Campus, will perform at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Tuesday, July 21, at 7 p.m. in the Wall Amphitheatre as part of UWRF's free summer concert series, "Chill on the Hill."
Hippo Campus, named after a storage compartment in the brain, is a four-piece rock band made up of recent graduates of the St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists. The band, formed in 2013, has quickly become a sensation, having steady airplay on 89.3 the Current; a best-new-music pick on Spotify; a second-place showing in City Pages' Picked to Click poll; and write-ups by NME and Interview magazines. More information about Hippo Campus can be found at hippocampusband.com.
Chill on the Hill concerts are free and open to the public. Grilled food, beverages, ice cream and Rush River beer will be available for purchase. Carry-in alcoholic beverages are prohibited, but personal picnics and beverages are allowed. Smoking is prohibited and dogs must remain on leashes.
In the event of inclement weather, the concerts will be moved indoors to the University Center, where food and beverages will be available for purchase. For more information on our summer concert series call Karyn Wells at 715-425-4444, or email karyn.wells@uwrf.edu.
