A five-acre research reclamation site was established at an active frac sand mine in Chippewa County, Wisconsin. The purpose of research is to:
1. Evaluate the effects of mining on soil physical, chemical, and biological properties.
2. Evaluate reclamation strategies to improve establishment of vegetation and maximize soil quality.
