- A university employee may purchase an annual parking permit to park in an employee lot. Annual parking permits are valid from August 22nd through August 31st of the following year (pending processing).
- Motorcycle permits are a separate purchase at an additional cost and is valid in designated motorcycle parking areas. See additional information below.
- Permits are virtual, no display necessary.
- Purchase of a parking permit authorizes parking only in the designated lot for the registered vehicle(s) only. A maximum of two vehicles can be registered to the parking permit. To update the vehicle(s) registered to your permit, complete the Employee Vehicle Update form listed on this page.
- A permit does not guarantee the availaiblity of a parking space but grants the authority to park in the designated lot.
- The permit holder is responsible for any parking violations issued to the vehicle registered to the parking permit.
- The employee permit price for 2024-2025 is $379. The fee will be deducted from your payroll September through May, either as a one-time deduction or multiple payment deduction depending on your current account setup. Please contact the Parking Office if you wish to change this option. State and federal tax laws apply.
- Completing an application does not guarantee a permit as they are issued according to availability on a seniority basis. An email notice will be sent once the permit application has been processed and the purchase is complete. Once notification has been received, parking in the designated lot is permitted. Parking in the permit space prior to notification is prohibited and the vehicle(s) would be subject to a citation.
- An annual employee parking permit is valid in the home lot and PAY3 lot without paying at the pay station.
- If you wish to cancel your parking permit you must contact the parking office by sending an email to parking@uwrf.edu.
- Any employee can utilize public parking.

- S - South of Food Science
- T - South of Rodli Hall
- Y - Street between Rodli Hall and Centennial Science Hall (6th Street), portion south of Wild Rose Ave

Current Employees Permit Holders:
- The annual employee parking permit automatically renews. This means if you currently have an employee parking permit, a payroll deduction will automatically be entered in September every year until you notify the Parking Office that you wish to cancel the permit or leave the university for any reason.
- All outstanding accout balances must be paid in full prior to the permit renewal processing.
- Affiliate permits do not auto renew. Please contact the parking office with questions.
- Purchase of a parking permit authorizes parking only in the designated lot for the registered vehicle(s) only. A maximum of two vehicles can be registered to the parking permit. To update the vehicle(s) registered to your permit, complete the Employee Vehicle Update form listed on this page.
- Permit holders can submit a waitlist request by clicking on the link to the left (Employee Waitlist). Waitlisting does not guarantee you a permit in your desired lot as a permit will only be offered if one becomes available and you have seniority at the time of the offer.
- An annual employee parking permit is valid in the home lot and PAY3 lot without paying at the pay station.
- If you wish to cancel your parking permit you must contact the parking office by sending an email to parking@uwrf.edu. Cancellations are processed in the month of the request. (Permit Auto renews are processed in August, if you do not wish to pay for September, your request for cancellation must be received prior to Sept 1st.)
Permit holders may be eligible for the following add on permits (You must hold an employee permit):
- An All Campus permit must be pre-authorized by your supervisor. The annual fee will be added to your payroll deduction. An All Campus permit is valid for short term parking in non-reserved: employee permit spaces, pay by space or meter. An All Campus permit is not valid in any student permit space, visitor space, restricted space or any reserved space. Home lots must be utilized on a regular basis or citations may be issued. The All Campus permit auto renews providing the supervisory authorization is still valid. An All Campus permit holder is allowed to register thier vehicle only to the All Campus permit. (example: Your spouse is a university employee, you can not register the spouse's vehicle to your All Campus permit)
- Loading Zone permits are valid in designated loading zones for a maximum of 30 minutes only. Pre-authorization must be obtained. A separate application is required on a yearly basis as these permits do not auto renew.
Motorcycle permits:
- Motorcycle permits are valid in designated areas only.
- A separate application and permit is required for motorcycles.
- A new application is required on a yearly basis as these mottorcycle permits do not auto renew.
- Not all lots have a motorcyle parking area.

Non-Permit holders may utilize public parking or parking is available on the city streets. City streets are the jurisdiction of the city of River Falls.
