Fall 2024 Textbook Return

Fall textbooks are due by Friday, December 20th by 4 pm. If you require your textbooks past that day (e.g., to finishing a paper or because you took an incomplete), have your instructor email "textbookservices@uwrf.edu" to inform us you need the book longer.

We encourage students to return their books in person at Textbook Services, but they can be returned to our drop boxes outside our open hours. No appointment is necessary and you can have someone else return them for you.

Textbook Services Due Dates & Late Fines

Textbook due dates are typically the day after the last day of finals. For Summer and Winter terms the due date is the first day of classes of the following term (e.g., Fall term for Summer books.) If a student requires the book past the due date (e.g., took an incomplete, need to finish a paper), their instructor or advisor must email Textbook Services to request this.

  • Students will receive an email from circulation@uwrf.edu after textbooks are checked out, when textbooks are checked in, when they are due, after they are overdue, and monthly email reminders on the 2nd of every month.
  • Late fines are $1/day per book to a maximum of $10 per book.
  • At 28 days overdue, books will be set to LOST and an additional $10 long overdue fine will be applied.
  • After 60 days overdue, student account may be sent to Student Billing for collection.
  • Lost or severely damaged books will have to be paid for at replacement value in Alma.
