UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN River Falls

UWRF Employee Wellness

The definition and practice of wellness is different for everyone. Starting to improve your personal wellness may seem overwhelming if you don't know where to begin.

The UWRF Wellness Committee has taken the eight commonly recognized pillars of wellness and assigned each one to a month during the academic year. Throughout that month, speakers, special programming, and campus-wide events have been planned to help you increase your wellness for that specific pillar.

Other activities and programs can be found in the ongoing section under each pillar or in the Ongoing Activities/Benefits tab. These are not date or time specific activities.

MGallo"I thank all of you for working so hard to take care of our university, and I would like to ask you to also take care of yourselves by becoming part of the Wellness Initiative. As part of the strategic plan, we identified that Increasing Employee Support was important for our campus.  I invite you ALL to attend wellness offerings as they work in your schedules. Opportunities range from keynote speakers to Falcon Center tours to meditation."

-Chancellor Maria Gallo, Fall 2023 Opening Meeting

Introducing the 2023-24 Passport to Wellness!

The UWRF Wellness Committee invites you to join us on a journey to improved wellness. To encourage your participation, you can collect souvenirs as you complete experiences within the 8 Pillars of Wellness. You can find a series of activities below or by searching within the Employee Wellness category on the FalconsConnect Calendar.

Request a Passport by emailing wellness@uwrf.edu or by attending an upcoming event. Each time you complete an activity within a pillar, write the activity on your passport. When you have completed an activity in two pillars, bring your passport to the Human Resources Office Tuesdays or Thursdays between the hours of 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to collect the next souviener in your journey. You could collect all four souveniers by completing an activity within each pillar and being among the first to turn in your passport.
