UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN River Falls
The average ELT student takes 12-16 credits of curriculum, which is four to six classes. These classes may include reading, writing, grammar, listening and speaking, vocabulary, and pronunciation. Your classes depend on your level of English when you take the Versant English Placement Test (VEPT). Some students are at the transition level, which means they take some classes in their major in addition to ESL or Modern Language (MODL) classes.
All ELT students are expected to use only English in their courses. This includes Canvas, laptops, and assignments. If a student’s Canvas account, laptop, or assignments are in a language other than English, instructors may refuse to offer feedback or assistance.
