UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN River Falls
A 60' x 20' swimming pool was added in the basement of North Hall with the 1928 addition of the Training School. It had a capacity of 64,000 gallons and was lined with white tile. The pumps changed the water at the rate of 185 gallons a minute. An automatic chlorinator and a large filter of rock, gravel, and sand, kept the pool sanitary. College freshmen were required to take swimming.
