60 credits. You must also complete all course-related prerequisites in your field. See Internship Prerequisites.
Internship opportunities for SBE students can be found in many places. You can find internships by searching the UWRF job recruitment system Handshake, the career pages of company websites, or by utilizing job search engines such as Indeed.com, Glassdoor.com, Internships.com or LinkedIn. Professional networking can also lead to internship opportunities, so talk with your professors, family friends, or reach out to professionals in your field. To find out if your current job can be converted to an internship, please speak with your major related department chair.
Most internship descriptions that list Business Administration as a preferred major will also consider Economics majors because Economics is a broad field.

An intern must submit a progress report after 40-45 hours of work, and for every 40-45 hours completed thereafter. See Internship Process.
As part of the online internship application, you will need to attach a detailed job description from your employer (an offer letter will work well) and a cover letter (how will this internship help your career goals). The Department Chair or Faculty Advisor will attach your DAR to your application prior to submitting the application to the Department Chair for review.
During your internship, you will need to submit a report after every 40-45 hours worked, and the Department Chair or Faculty Advisor will coordinate a site visit (virtual or conference call) with your supervisor and you (the intern). At the conclusion of your internship, your employer will need to complete the Employer’s Intern Evaluation Form, and you will need to submit the internship final report. See Internship Process.
The form is available here and in your course Canvas.
The final reflective paper, due at the completion of an internship, is a 2-3 page narrative. A 12-credit internship may require a longer report. Instructions for completing the final paper can be found on Canvas. See Internship Process.
