What is Week of Welcome?
WOW is nearly two jam-packed weeks of free events for new students to celebrate your arrival to campus! From the Involvement Fair to Late Night Great Night and butter carving competitions to outdoor movies, there is free food, giveaways and fun for everyone. This is where you’ll find ways to get involved on campus, make new friends and begin to call UWRF “home.”
- Tutoring Services Scavenger Hunt
- Student Success Center, 3-5 p.m.
- Explore the tutoring spaces around campus for your chance to win a prize!

- WOW Bag Toss Tournament
- Hathorn Mall (grass field between Hathorn Hall and Library), 4-5:30 p.m.
- Join Campus Recreation in the annual Free Bag Toss Tournament. Registration will take place on IMLeagues or in person until 3:45 p.m.
- Teams will consist of two people. Teams are guaranteed two games and the tournament winners will receive the 2025-26 IM Champ Shirt.
- Hathorn Mall (grass field between Hathorn Hall and Library), 4-5:30 p.m.
- Planting New Seeds @ the Sustainability Kickoff
- KFA Outdoor Classroom (Greenspace between KFA and CSH), 4-6 p.m.
- Paint a pot and transplant a seedling while connecting with friends and getting to know the Sustainability Office and other sustainability-related groups on campus! Rain site is 222 North Hall.

- Campus Lab Farm, 1529 S. Wasson Lane, 7 p.m.
- When you attend a Falcon Frontier Rodeo performance, you can expect to have a boot stompin' good time! The rodeo showcases collegiate athletes from across the Midwest and their skills in the arena, featuring events such as team roping, breakaway roping, tie down roping, barrel racing, goat tying, steer wrestling and bull and bronc riding. Ticket information.

- Late Night Great Night
- University Center, 8-11 p.m.
- Join us for one of our biggest events of the year! The UC is transformed into a high-energy hangout with something fun around every corner. Come ready for a night of nonstop excitement!
- Late Night Great Night is packed with Glow Casino, Portrait Sketch Robot, Inflatable Knockerballs, Fashion Color Analysis, DIY Crafts, a Mirror Photobooth, Bingo, S'mores, a Pretzel Bar, Giveaways and tons of ways to meet new friends.

It’s a great way to get to know the community and find your new favorite hangout. Don’t miss this chance to explore, shop and chill with friends!

- Join Falcon Outdoor Adventures on a tour-by-bike through downtown River Falls, culminating with a stop at Freddy’s Dairy Bar for your choice of ice cream or cheese curds. Register now. Bring your own bike or borrow one of ours!

- Movie Night
- Falls Theatre, 6 p.m.
- Check out the iconic Falls Theatre in downtown River Falls, featuring first-run films and classic movie treats at a low cost. Free with your student ID and includes free concessions. First come, first served, so get in line early! Free soda, candy and popcorn included!

- Challenge your navigational skills on the Lower section! All equipment and some snacks included.

- De-stress with certified therapy dogs and friendly handlers! Spend time petting and playing with some very good pups. It’s the paw-fect way to take a break and lift your spirits.

- Come to the library for a mini golf tournament! Freddy's Dairy Trike will be on site with free ice cream for the first 10 attendees. Learn about campus departments through themed greens. The top three tournament winners will win a free t-shirt from Campus Rec! Open to all UWRF students, faculty and staff.
