Join the Falcon Family

Ready to join the Falcon Family? Applying is easier than ever. Complete a few simple steps and you’re well on your way to what’s next!

The application is free and we don’t require an essay. Your background, experiences and the academic accomplishments on your transcript speak volumes about your preparation for college. If we need more information than what’s included in the application, we’ll reach out to you.

1. Complete an online application. We have two options for applying but you only need to submit one so choose the option that works for you and we'll take it from there. Thinking about applying to multiple schools? Use the Common App. Want your application sent only to UWRF? Use the eApp

2. Submit an ACT or SAT score (optional). Our Test-Optional Policy is open to both students who do not wish to share scores and to students who were unable to attend scheduled testing dates. In other words, when applying for admission to UW-River Falls, you have the choice to submit standardized test scores (ACT or SAT) as part of your admission application.

3. Submit transcripts. We accept student and counselor copies of transcripts sent via mail, email or electronic transcript service. We prefer electronic transcripts but hard copy transcripts may be sent to:

UWRF Admissions
410 S. 3rd St.
River Falls, WI 54022

Hoping to boost your GPA or class rank prior to applying for admission? We still encourage you to complete your application now! If you have concerns about your high school record and would like to connect with a member of our admissions team, please reach out.

1. Complete an online application at apply.wisconsin.edu.

2. Submit official college transcripts*

*Please request an official transcript for each college or university you have attended and have the institution send it directly to UW-River Falls. We prefer that transcripts are sent electronically, when possible. Please have transcripts delivered through electronic transcript service delivered to admissions@uwrf.edu. If sending hard copy transcripts, please request they be addressed to:

UWRF Admissions
410 S. 3rd St.
River Falls, WI 54022

3. Submit official high school transcripts

Prior to enrollment, we'll need a copy of your official high school transcript to verify your graduation as a financial aid requirement. It must have all grades and a graduation date indicated. We're unable to accept transcripts sent by students and are unable to disburse financial aid or scholarships until your official high school transcript is received. If you have less than 12 college credits completed, your high school transcript will also be used in an admission decision.

Wondering if your credits will transfer? Check out our transfer resources.
