Ready to earn your superintendent license? Designed to challenge the status quo of educational systems, UWRF's Superintendent Licensure program combines a flexible environment with a strengths-based focus, servant leadership values and a supportive learning community to create practical, relevant and effective licensure path. Upon completion, you'll be eligible for a Wisconsin Superintendent License.
Program Details
- Connected and Practical: We offer integrated content and coursework that is practical and continues throughout the one-year program.
- Relevant content: Experiences and internships in class will be based on best practices and relevant to your current situation.
- Embracing growth: You choose the path that meets your goals and decide how you will apply and explore the content.
- Effective relationships: The trust you build upfront with relationships will allow you to move through the program feeling supported and confident.
This 30-credit program is delivered though an accelerated cohort learning community model. The cohort will meet both face-to-face and online over four semesters. Depending on the location of our students, face-to-face classes may meet in Ashland, Chippewa Falls, Madison, Pulaski, River Falls and Wausau/Amherst.
The program consists of 10 courses, each worth three credits for a total of 30 total credits. Students complete projects to meet the NELP - National Educational Leadership Preparation standards adopted by the Wisconsin DPI for school superintendents. Learn more at npbea.org/nelp/.
