Re-Entry

If you are currently in the process of being suspended from UWRF but would like to return, we're here to help you navigate the process. Your academic program can help you appeal that decision and potentially stay at UWRF by setting up a plan and offering assistance as you work toward success in your academic journey. 

If you’d like to appeal your suspension, you have two options. Please read carefully to ensure you meet all steps on time.

1) Expedited Option: The benefit of this expedited option is you could be re-entered before your classes are dropped. Submit this Re-Entry Application right away. The deadline to be considered for re-entry without dropping your fall 2024 classes is June 14, 2024. You can indicate on the form if you’d also like to appeal to re-instate your financial aid if you currently receive that.

This process moves quickly! Here's what it looks like:

1. Submit the Re-Entry Application by June 14, 2024. Sooner is better! Your fall 2024 courses will be dropped on June 15, 2024 if you haven’t submitted your re-entry application. If you reserved a room on campus, that room reservation will also be cancelled.
2. You’ll receive a meeting invitation in your Navigate App or in your UWRF email that will indicate how to set up an appointment with a representative from your college. Set up that appointment as soon as possible! Students that aren't responsive to the meeting invitation will be denied re-entry. We won't drop your classes or remove your room assignment until your college indicates you aren’t following up on the process or a re-entry denial decision is made.
3. You may be notified of the re-entry decision at your college appointment. It’s also possible you’ll be referred to an additional review meeting prior to a decision.
4. Your re-entry final decision will be sent via email at the completion of the process. Remember to watch your spam/junk folder, as emails can end up there! 
5. If you indicate that you’d like to appeal for re-instatement of your financial aid, our Financial Aid Office will be notified. You should get started on that process immediately. Visit the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy webpage to submit the appeal documents.

2) Prior to the Term Option: If you need some time to decide if you want to appeal your suspension, you can submit the Re-Entry Application up to the deadline on Aug. 20, 2024 The earlier the better as you’ll have more time to complete next steps! 

(Students living on campus who choose this option: Please note that your previously selected room reservation was cancelled on June 15 and there is no guarantee that you will be able to return to that room if readmitted.)

1. Submit the Re-Entry Application prior to Aug. 20, 2024. Remember, sooner is better! Residence hall and meal plan contracts will be cancelled on August 21 for any suspended students who have not submitted a re-entry application.

4. Students who are readmitted should contact the Residence Life office to be assigned a room space.

You may apply for Academic Forgiveness at the time of your re-entry if you have not been enrolled at ANY institution of higher learning for at least five continuous years prior to readmission. Through the Academic Forgiveness Policy, UWRF provides an opportunity for the calculation of a new GPA for all subsequent coursework. Once you have applied for re-entry, you will submit your completed Academic Forgiveness application to the dean of the college for your major.
